How well do you know you are a VICTOR?
A lot of us love trends, we love to keep abreast with whatever is happening around us,
For some of us, the latest fashion always finds their way to our wardrobe we just want to look trendy.
We partake in social media activities, tweeting and retweeting, sharing and joining up online challenges; I love the online space.
Somehow, they are lots of activities and clouds of events that keeps flooding in everyday, but one thing we are left with, is the one thing called CHOICE.
In the beginning of this series we started by looking at the story of a young man called Gideon. Through the lessons, we have seen the various encounters Gideon had and how he broke forth from living a defeated, inferior, settle-for-less, fear grabbed life to living a life in the path of faith which finally handed him and the entire city the victory and freedom they had truly desired.
In the course of the lesson, we have learnt truths about how to deal with fear, how to conquer limiting beliefs, how to strengthen and engage our faith and even how to handle oppositions both outside and within us, however, these things we have learnt will not profit us much if we do not make a daily decision to stand by them. How do I know these?
God told Gideon that he is mighty and that he should go and save himself and his people from the hands of the same midianites he was running away from. After certain confirmations, Gideon gathered 32,000 men and they rose up to go and confront and defeat the midianites. On the way to face the midianites something very interesting happened; it was a test of bravery.

God told Gideon that he should announce to the 32,000 men that if any among them is scared, he should turn back home, guess what? 22,000 men turned back home leaving Gideon with 10,000 men. The test didn’t end there; God told Gideon to take the 10,000 men to the water for a drink and there he tried them. Finally, 300 men were found fit to face the midianites.
But how well do you know you are a victor?
Does your attitude, responses to life and mindset show that you are really victorious?
Do you still act around defeated, fearful, and being a victim of circumstances, events, people’s mistakes or even your own mistakes?
Life itself will load you with trends but you have to make a decision for what you stand for.
As a Teenager, you must know the things you do not permit in your life and stand by it; that is the easiest way out of abuse. You must identify the truth and stand by it else, the world itself will give you its opinion to stand by.
Is it trending? Is everyone doing it? But is it good for you? You have to make a choice.
Okay 22,000 people have given up already, would you join them? You will have to know what you want and stand by it; you will have to be really sure you are a victor and prove it in the path of faith.
Away with thinking and acting defeated, away with doubts and false ideas about yourself and life generally.
Hold up and let’s face this world together, walking the path of faith and holding on to the victory which we already have.
I am grateful that you stayed with me, till the end of this series.
Let make to a toast for the victories we have and the ones ahead, but as we do that, do not forget Truth 7.
TRUTH 7: You will have to make a decision to hold on to victory, BEING VICTORIOUS IS A CHOICE.
