NEW MOMENTS


I tarried a while for  the day I will finally be moving over to the  boarding house , to me that was a new mile stone. As the day drew closer,  the new clothes, provisions, plus 'pocket money'  was enough goodies for the young girl,  I  couldn't wait to zoom off from the house because I heard a lot from my elder sister, who had been 2 years ahead in the boarding house. I was glad it was also my turn to own the packets of biscuits, tins of milo, milk and the likes, so you see one of my motivation...wink
Fast forward, I moved from my town with mum and we drove to the east part of my country, south south to south east was just about 4 hours away. Apart from children camp programs, that was going to be my first time of leaving my growing environment; home, church, primary school etc. to a whole new place.
Mum was gone, dad too, and I could only talk to them via my guardians; those women helped my life.
I was left to live the different new life I so anticipated and this new life introduced me to moments that changed my entire life. I drank from both sweet and bitter waters and i'll be sharing  the big life lessons I learnt during that stage of my life which happened to be the time I grew into being a teenager.

  Saturday was going to be the d-day and I prepared 'so hard' in my little way for it; my dad had bought for me a compilation of past questions in Mathematics, English and General knowledge and I didn't want to miss my chance. I read and even burned the mid-night candle as a child in preparation for the entrance examination.  The school was certainly my dream school at that time, my school friends and I really wanted to be admitted into the school. Hence that bright saturday, I took my pen, mathematical set, and travelled with my parents a few kilometers  to write the entrance examination.  We got into the long hall, were seated and in a short while the examination was being administered to us.
