OUT-OF-FEAR THINKING

Does it sound like I made a mistake in the topic?

Okay let’s rearrange it this way, Thinking- Out- of-Fear.

A young man lived in Shechem a Canaanite city; His name was Gideon.

He probably would have been tall, dark skinned or fair, I am not sure but this young man and his townsmen lived as slaves in their own land. They often had this violent Midianites, Amalekites and people from the East, come up to forcefully ravage their crops and live them impoverished and sadly, some of them had to live in dens in the mountains, caves and strongholds.

One of those days Gideon sneaked to Ophrah, in the city of Manasseh which was 6 miles south west of Shechem and all he wanted to do was get some wheats but he had to beat the wheats in a winepress in order to hide it from the adversaries. On that day, something interestingly remarkable happened in Gideon’s life.

We will discuss about the interesting encounter Gideon had in the next lesson but before we do that, Let’s make a few considerations:

Have you ever been in a situation full of terrifying fear?

Probably something really terrible happened or you experienced certain dreadful occurrences.

Sometimes like in the case of Gideon, it could be an attack in your town, a plague, a misfortune happening around that can cause fear; they seem to ravage your confidence, your strength, your stamina. A lot of times, you would think the only option is to run into caves and remain fearful but for how long?

Fear is a captor that would never willingly release it’s captive, No! it would not.

It doesn’t even pay attention to pleas, you must look it in the face, call it name, and fight it and happy are you when you break loose, #YouMustBreakLoose.

I know it is sometimes hard to face your fears, it feels safest to shield away from them, but that’s dangerous; Old fears become Monsters, don’t let fear grow with you, the TEEN AGE is the time to confront your fears about life. All the what if’s that has kept you cold for so long “What if they reject me?”, “What if I get a heart attack and die @ 30?”, “What if I end up like mama?” “What if this deadly disease hooks me down?” “What if I fail?”

This is the time to identify those fears that quietly bother you through your journey of life, #DoNotPamperFears

Remember I am your favourite partner in this escapade, so feel free to ask questions that may be bothering you at this point via DM or on the comment box and remember to be guarded with your kits- Sincerity and the willingness to grow.

Till we meet again soon do not forget TRUTH 1: DO NOT PAMPER FEAR
